Welcome! We are so glad you are interested in learning more about Camp Cherith in the Carolinas. Camp Cherith is a co-ed traditional residential camp in Clemson, SC. Our Campers are boys and girls who have completed the second grade through 12th grade. We are a non-denominational faith-based camp with the vision of “Connecting Campers to Christ.” Campers will experience the Lord through time spent in the Word daily, in community with cabinmates, and in God’s creation.

Our Campus
Camp Cherith in the Carolinas operates at Clemson University’s Outdoor Laboratory in Clemson, SC. With access to Lake Hartwell and a rich campus at the Outdoor Lab, we are able to provide a large variety of skill-based activities as well as activities unique to our Camp.
Camp Cherith in the Carolinas has organizational goals and outcomes that we strive for in every aspect of our ministry. We believe these goals make us unique and direct our leadership team to create programming that supports these goals and outcomes.

Health and Safety
At Camp Cherith in the Carolinas, the health and safety of our campers and staff is our top priority. Our staff is thoroughly trained and equipped to keep our campers safe during the week. Our medical staff consists of a licensed registered nurse that is on-site 24 hours a day and Red Cross certified lifeguards that are ready to provide care at all times. A large portion of our support staff and counselors are also CPR and First Aid certified.
Accreditation
Being an ACA Accredited camp means that Camp Cherith in the Carolinas meets or exceeds the camping standards set by American Camping Association. In order to meet ACA standards, we must prove with actions and documentation that our Staff is fully trained and equipped, that our site has been inspected and meets all expectations, and that our camping program meets health and safety procedures and policies. You can rest assured that your children are happy, safe, and will enjoy a quality program while at Camp Cherith in the Carolinas.
Camp Cherith® in the Carolinas is licensed by Pioneer Clubs and one of six Camp Cherith Camps in North America. We are one of six Camp Cherith camps in North America.

Q: How much is a week at Camp Cherith?
A: A week at Camp (Sunday to Saturday) is $525 for room and board. See our Registration page for more details.
Q: How old must my camper be to come to Camp?
A: They must have completed second grade the summer they attend camp. Ages of campers range from 7 to 17.
Q: How do you pronounce Camp Cherith?
A: Cherith is pronounced Care-eth.
Q: What does the name Cherith mean?
A: The name Cherith is derived from 1 Kings 17: 2-6—Our counselors and staff have bird names, to mimic the raven from the passage. While at Camp Cherith, your children and spiritually and physically fed by our Counselors.
